“I Work Out So I Can Eat Whatever I Want”
Sound Familiar?
How many times have you heard—or even said—this exact phrase?
Personally, I’ve heard it more times than I can count. And more often than not, when I dig a little deeper, the person saying it is just trying to stay afloat in their fitness journey. They show up, put in the effort, but rarely see consistent results—aside from the occasional bump in performance.
Here’s the blunt truth:
It takes 60 seconds to eat 400 calories of ice cream.
It takes 60 minutes of running to burn those same 400 calories.
The worst way to try to lose weight? Exercising it off.
Stop relying on your workouts to do what your diet is meant to handle.
Let’s break it down:
Calories = Body Weight
If you're eating fewer calories than you burn, you’ll lose weight. Simple math.Macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat) = Body Composition
Dial in your macros and you’ll start to look like you actually work out.
Micronutrients (vitamins, minerals) = How You Feel
You’ll feel better when you're eating whole, minimally processed, nutrient-dense foods.
If you're happy with your body composition, strength, and overall fitness—great! Keep doing what works for you, as long as it's sustainable and keeps you feeling happy and healthy.
But if you’re someone who’s unsure how to navigate nutrition and is piling on workouts in hopes of being “summer ready,” let’s talk. You don’t need to guess. Let’s create a plan that actually works.
In health,
