Are you uncomfortable with the barbell? Do free weights feel unnatural? Or are you a weightlifting enthusiast? Do you LOVE the sport of weightlifting? Do you want to get stronger? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, this class is for you. We will be guiding beginner, intermediate and advanced lifters through barbell movements ranging from the classical Olympic Lifts (snatch, clean and jerk) to the foundation movements (squats, deadlifts, presses). This class is not about how much weight can you lift or how fast can you lift it. It is about doing it correctly.
CrossFit's focus is constantly varied, functional movements, executed at high intensity. Our goal is to increase your fitness in a well-rounded way; meaning the workouts are designed to get you stronger, faster, more endurance, flexibility, stamina, ability, and more. The classes are small (12 person limit), high-energy with friendly competition, and, most importantly, coached by our highly qualified and experienced staff. Burn class is a form of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). In this class there is circuit training, using light weights or no weights at all. This class is not for the light hearted. You will be getting your sweat on doing full body movements using calisthenics and light weights such as burpees, push ups, jumping, running, rowing, air squats, medicine ball tosses, lunging, sit ups and more. This is a great conditioning class to work that heart and burn those calories!
We offer open gym time from 10am-12pm Monday-Friday. These hours are open for our advanced athletes only and are not lead by a coach. If you'd like to participate, you MUST get the personal OK from our owner or manager prior to attending.
Have a friend who might be interested in joining? Live in the neighborhood and curious about why people are always running down the sidewalk? Come check us out at our FREE community class every Saturday at 12pm! This is a great way to try out a CrossFit class and see what we are all about. All levels welcome, so don't be intimidated! This class is designed to be a great workout for all types of athletes and non-athletes, and is definitely beginner friendly.
Our Elements program is required for all members who are new to CrossFit before they can begin in our group classes. They consist of 3 one-on-one sessions with one of our coaches where you will learn the basic movements that you’ll need in order to be successful (and safe!) in a CrossFit class. Elements are essential to learn proper form, and are the best way for our new members to become familiar with CrossFit Hollywood.
As a subscriber to ROMWOD, we are able provide our members access to their free, daily mobility videos designed to increase range of motion, assist the recovery process, and promote breath awareness and relaxation. Jump into this class and follow along to the video to get your stretch on! Videos range from 15-45 minutes and are streamed daily.
While our primary focus is group CrossFit classes, most of our coaches also offer personal training sessions. We encourage everyone to try out our group classes, but if personal training is something you are interested in please contact us for a list of trainers and pricing.
We offer a flexible schedule with classes all throughout the day, including early AM and late PM, so that you can tailor your workout routine to fit your schedule. Check out our full class schedule below.
