It’s time once again for CFHW’s bi-annual paleo challenge! If you’ve done the challenge before and fallen off-track, this is your chance to get back on the nutrition bandwagon. If you’re new and have been thinking about trying out this paleo-thing you’ve heard so much about, this is the perfect time to start!
How it works:
At the start of the challenge, we’ll take “before” pictures, take all of your measurements (including a dunk in the hydrostatic body-fat testing tank to get the most accurate body fat percentage reading available), and have you perform a baseline WOD. You’ll eat as your caveman ancestors did for a month, and then we’ll retest everything at the end of the challenge. The top male and top female will win some pretty awesome prizes, including a sizable cash purse (dependent on how many particpants there are). Winners are selected based on body fat lost, muscle gained, WOD performance improvement, adherence to paleo eating, and before/after pics.
The best part about doing the challenge? You’re not in it alone! You’ll have all your fellow challengers and CFHW community to share recipes with and talk cravings and get support.
There will be an informational session Saturday, September 28 @ 2:00pm, and the challenge will officially kick off on Sunday, October 6. (Goes through Sunday, November 10). Sign up for a dunk tank appointment today on the front desk at the gym!
Cost to participate is only $99. This includes $65 towards the body fat testing, and a portion towards the winners pot.
