It’s time to highlight more of our awesome athletes. This time, we’re featuring two members, Dale and RD. Those of you that know Dale and RD know they’ve been a CFHW staple for the past year and half, and are part of the Station Three mafia slowly forming at the box. We’re happy to have them as part of the family. So, ladies and gentlemen, DALE AND RD!!!!!!!
Name: Dale Wheatley
Weight: 175 lbs
How long have you been a member at CFHW? 1.5 years
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness? I’ve completely transformed physically, from fat to fit. Smoker to non smoker, horrible eater to eating clean. I could go on and on about how crossfit Hollywood – how the trainers have completely changed my life… I’ve never been sharper in the mind, my confidence is amazing… I’m fearless and strong but most of all I’m just happy…
What is your athletic background? None really. Some high school vollyball but otherwise, lifting food and drink to my mouth was about it.
Favorite WOD: Filthy Fifty
Favorite Lift: Power Clean and Deadlift.
Least Favorite WOD: Air force
Least Favorite Lift: overhead squats
What are your proudest achievements? I’m just excited that I’m able to get off my ass and make it happen everyday.
Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit? My goal is to keep working hard, working smart and getting stronger. I really want to do this for as long as my body will allow it…
Any advice for someone thinking about trying CrossFit or someone who has just started? Everything you want in life and how to go about getting it is reflected in your crossfit journey. You have an ultimate outcome, your fitness, to look better naked… Whatever it is – and to make your goals a reality your going to be challenged to the extreme, don’t stop… Achieve this and you can achieve anything.
Favorite place to eat in Los Angeles? Pampa Brazillian BBQ at the Famers Market

How long have you been a member at CFHW? 1 1/2 years
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness? In every way! i’ll name a few… I’m sharper, more focused in life and business, stronger and for the first time in my life I get compliments on my body and posture!
What is your athletic background? not much since little league. some high school baseball. then a few years of on and off yoga.
Favorite WOD: MURPH… even though it almost kills me every time (i’ve done it twice). i feel like i can accomplish anything after i complete it.
Favorite Lift: back squat
Least Favorite WOD: anything with Overhead squats
Least Favorite Lift: OHS
What are your proudest achievements? finishing last years beach WOD and crushing 21 -15- 9 back squats (155 lbs) + sit ups in btwn 100-50-25
Name one goal and/or personal record you would like to accomplish through CrossFit? double unders and OHS’s (i named 2)
Any advice for someone thinking about trying CrossFit or someone who has just started? if you are thinking about doing it. stop thinking and do it! Don’t worry about not being ready or feeling like you need to get in shape before joining. Just join! And if you are already in Xfit and just starting- no matter how scared or nervous you are– go to class, and dont look at the WODs on FB the night before.
Favorite place to eat in Los Angeles? Pampa’s Brazilian BBQ (although i have overdosed on it) and Mendocino Farms, oh yeah, Nanbankan and Sushi Sasabune in West LA
