• TIGHT HIPS AND SHOULDERS, OR WHY I CAN’T DO OVERHEAD SQUATS.

    This week’s Games WOD includes overhead squats at 120# for the men, 90# for the ladies. This may be difficult for some of you. It shouldn’t. The weight is not a weight that should be a limiting factor (sorry Nikki, I know that’s your bodyweight). It’s your shoulder and hip mobility that are the limiting factors. We’re only as strong as our weakest link, so we need to improve our weak spots. The wonderful blog by Kelly Starrett, www.mobilitywod.com has a ton of great videos demonstrating ways to improv your mobility. Below are a couple to help your overhead squats. Enjoy!
